Creative Meetup in the Garden at Manoa Heritage Center (Oahu)

Have you been wishing for more time to simply sit in the garden and draw, paint, write, take photos, or nature journal? Join us for a relaxed creative meetup at Mānoa Heritage Center!
After checking in, participants will find a spot in the upper garden and spend some time with whatever creative project they’d like. Bring a sketchbook, paints, writing materials, or whatever you enjoy using. Take some time to observe, explore, and create at your own pace.
For anyone new to making art in nature, or feeling a little rusty with their creative practice, artist and writer Kate Righter will offer an optional nature journaling demonstration. She will share her process as she draws in the garden. You’re welcome to join the demonstration, pursue your own project, or move between the two.
We’ll gather back together at the end to share what we’ve been working on and enjoy seeing the garden through one another’s eyes.
No previous art or nature journaling experience is necessary. All creative interests and skill levels are welcome!
