PDE3 ʻĀINA In Schools Curriculum Training for Educators
Kōkua Hawaii Foundation
Training for Educators interested in integrating nutrition education, garden-based learning, and composting into their classroom lessons. This course is open to all K-6 teachers and will be a hybrid model with in-person sessions held on Oʻahu. In all virtual sessions, participants will be expected to engage via video-conferencing (Zoom) and collaborative documents (e.g. Google Docs). The course fee is $100.

Teachers from Hawai’i public schools can apply for Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Project Grants to help advance their environmental education goals.

KHF Field Trip Grants help bring students to outdoor sites where they can experience hands-on learning about Hawaiʻi’s environment.
Deadline for all KHF Field Trip Grant applications for the 2025-26 school year is March 1, 2026.
Funding is limited to $1,000 per school per school year and is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Multiple teachers from an individual school may apply for a Field Trip Grant. Therefore, field trips may be partially funded to accommodate multiple requests.
KHF Field Trip Grants may be used for destination entry fees, educational tour guides, and transportation.
KHF Project Grants assist teachers from Hawaiʻi schools in pursuing environmental stewardship endeavors and advancing their environmental goals in the classroom.
Deadline for all Project Grant applications for the 2025-26 school year is January 31, 2026.
Financial assistance is limited to $250 per teacher and $1,000 per school. Multiple teachers may collaborate on a single application/project.
KHF Project Grant funds may be used for garden supplies, waste reduction systems, aquaponics, professional development workshops, and more.
2027 SFCA Community Arts Grant
Intent to Apply due September 30
The SFCA Community Arts Grant Program supports the projects/programs of nonprofit 501(c)3 arts and culture organizations throughout the State. The grant awards funding to organizations supporting programs and projects that advance the arts, culture, and the humanities in the lives of the people of Hawaiʻi.
Organizations interested in submitting a Project Application for the fiscal year 2027 must first submit their legal eligibility documents to the Intent to Apply through Hawaii.GOSmart.org.
